The Keyboard has been introduced on October 30, 2018, alongside the new iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd Generation, released on November 7, 2018, and its price started at $179.
Smart Keyboard Folio docks with iPad Pro using the Smart Connector, a magnetic connection with three pins that provides data transfer and power. The keyboard features keys covered in a woven fabric, that is resistant to water and other liquids.
On March 18, 2018, has been introduced next generation of iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch. For this reason, Smart Keyboard Folio received a cosmetic update.
