The Magic Keyboard for iPad is an iPad Cover with a pointing device that was designed, manufactured, and currently sold by Apple since 2020 as part of the Magic Keyboard series. The Keyboard has been introduced on 18 March 2020 alongside the new iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd Generation and iPad Pro 12.9-inch 4th Generation, released on 22 April 2020 and its price started at $299.
The Magic Keyboard for iPad is similar to Smart Keyboard Folio but features a trackpad. Its keys are backlit and use a scissor mechanism with 1 mm travel. It attaches magnetically to the iPad Pro above a cantilever that allows adjusting the viewing angle. It doesn’t have a battery but powered by the iPad Pro itself. It also has a USB-C port on the hinge of the keyboard for recharging the iPad Pro, and freeing the USB-C port on iPad Pro for other accessories. It is compatible with iPad Pro 11-inch 1st and 2nd generation, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd and 4th generation, and iPad Air 4th Generation.
