The all-new MacBook Air for the first time is powered by Apple Silicon and features a 3.2 GHz 8-Core Apple M1 processor, a 16-Core Neural Engine, Secure Enclave coprocessor, 7-Core or 8-Core integrated Apple GPU, 13.3″ Retina LED-backlit LCD IPS Display with True Tone, aluminum unibody case in three color options: Silver, Space Gray, and Gold, 8 or 16 GB of RAM, 128 / 256 GB or 512 GB of SSD memory, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 (Thunderbolt 3) ports, FaceTime HD camera, illuminated keyboard with scissor mechanism, Touch ID, ambient light sensor, Multi-Touch trackpad with Force Touch technology, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and up to 18 hours of battery life.
This MacBook has been partially discontinued on June 6, 2022, when Apple introduced the new MacBook Air M2 2022. From that date, in Apple Store available is only a 7-Core GPU option while the 8-Core version has been discontinued. Another thing is that the MacBook Air with 7-Core GPU was available for $799, and the new price is $999.
