Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar is an operating system that was designed, developed, and sold by Apple from 2002 to 2003 alongside Apple’s personal computers. The system has been released on August 23, 2002, and was available for $129 or was preinstalled on currently sold computers.
For the first time, Mac OS X was also available in the family pack for $199. This software gets the last update (10.2.8) on October 3, 2003, and later has been replaced by a newer version of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar introduced many features and improvements like MPEG-4 support in QuickTime, Address Book, and Inkwell for handwriting recognition, a new version of Quartz Extreme for graphic acceleration, built-in spam filter in Mail application, new apps like iChat, QuickTime 6, or Sherlock 3, Bluetooth support, and many more.
