watchOS 6 is an operating system that was designed, developed by Apple in 2019, and was preinstalled on the new Apple Watches and as an update through the iPhone for the previous series. The system has been released on September 19, 2019, and gets the last update (6.2.9) on November 5, 2020, and has been replaced by a newer version of watchOS 7.
watchOS 6 features a new Cycle Tracking app for tracking menstrual cycle and fertility metrics, a new Noise app for detecting decibel levels in your surroundings, a new Voice Memos app for recording and listening to voice memos directly on Apple Watch, a new Calculator app, Audiobooks app, a new built-in App Store where you can find and download apps for your Watch, updated Workout app, new Activity Trends in Activity app, Siri updates, brand new Watch Faces with new options such as; Tap to speak or time-keeping alerts, and many more.
This version of watchOS drops support for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
