The tvOS 15 is an operating system that was designed and developed by Apple in 2021. The system has been released on September 20, 2021, and was preinstalled on currently sold Apple TV 4K 2021 and Apple TV HD. This software gets the latest update (15.6) on July 20, 2022, and later has been replaced by tvOS 16.
tvOS 15 same as iOS 15 is adding SharePlay, a feature that allows users to listen to music, watch movies, screen share, and more with other users in a FaceTime call. New tvOS is bringing updates in Audio features.
From now the operating system will allow users to bring AirPods Pro or AirPods Max to listen to music with Spatial Audio. Spatial Audio is an immersive audio experience with multi-dimensional sound and clarity.
tvOS 15 is now supporting Dolby Atmos which is an audio format used to create 3D sound and music. HomePod mini users can now use up to two speakers on one Apple TV to play sound and music through AirPlay.
tvOS 15 also introduces the new “Shared with you” feature, which stores content shared via messages in a dedicated section in their native apps for later viewing (for instance, a news article shared via messages is shown in the News app).
