Xserve

The Apple Xserve (1st Generation) is a Network Server computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2002 to 2003 as part of the Macintosh Xserve G4 series. The computer has been introduced on May 14, 2002, and its price started at $2999.

The all-new Xserve features a Single or Dual Core 1 GHz PowerPC 7455 G4  processor, 256 MB or 512 MB of RAM, 60 GB hard drive, 24x CD-ROM drive, and 32 MB ATI PCI graphics in the base model.

This Xserve has been discontinued on February 10, 2003, and has been replaced by Xserve Slot Load.

Today Xserve is 21 years old!
