The Apple Xserve Slot Load (2nd Generation) is a Network Server computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2003 to 2004 as part of the Macintosh Xserve G4 series. The computer has been introduced on February 10, 2003, and its price started at $2799.
The new Xserve Slot Load features a 1.33 GHz PowerPC 7455 G4 (Single or Dual Core) processor, 256 MB or 512 MB of RAM, 60 GB hard drive, 24x CD-ROM or 8x DVD-R/CD-RW “Combo” drive, and 64 MB ATI PCI graphics.
This Xserve has been discontinued on January 6, 2004, and has been replaced by Xserve G5.
