System Software 6.0 is an operating system that was designed and developed by Apple in 1988 alongside Apple’s Macintosh computers. This System Software has been released on April 12, 1988, and its price started at $49.
System 6 was the first complete, stable, and long-lasting System software. The new operating software features new multitasking, which allows the launching of multiple applications and switching between them, Hardware support, and MakroMaker.
This version of System Software has been replaced by System Software 7.0.
