System Software 2.0 & 2.0.1 is an operating system that was designed and developed by Apple in 1987 alongside Apple’s Macintosh computers. Apple released System Software 2.0 on January 12, 1987, and introduced AppleShare.

On March 2, 1987, has been released System Software 2.0.1 and was dedicated to Macintosh II and Macintosh SE. Version 2.0.1 contained an updated LaserWriter driver.

This version of Macintosh System Software has been replaced by System Software 5.0.

Today System Software 2.0 & 2.0.1 is 35 years old!
