The Apple Macintosh Quadra 660AV originally named the Macintosh Centris 660AV is a personal computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 1993 to 1994 as part of the Macintosh Quadra series. The computer has been introduced on October 21, 1993, and its price started at $1970.
The new Quadra 660AV features a 25 MHz Motorola 68040 processor, 4 MB or 8 MB of RAM, 230 MB or 500 MB hard drive, CD-ROM drive, 1.44 MB Floppy drive, and an Audio-Visual card with RCA video and S-video I/O.
The 660AV version was replaced after a few months with a Power Macintosh 6100 computer. The company also sold a Power Macintosh upgrade card that upgraded the 660AV to the 6100 specifications for $1,399.
This Macintosh has been discontinued on September 12, 1994.
