The Macintosh Performa 630CD is a personal computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 1994 to 1995 as part of the Macintosh Performa series of Macintosh computers. The computer has been introduced on July 18, 1994, and its price started at $1500.
The new Performa 630CD features a 33 MHz Motorola 68LC040 processor, 4 MB or 8 MB of RAM, 250 MB hard drive, 2x CD-ROM drive, and 1.44 MB floppy drive.
At the same time, Apple offered a PC version of Performa 630 shipped with a 66 MHz Intel 486DX processor dedicated to MS-DOS or Windows.
This Performa has been discontinued on July 1, 1995.
