Macintosh IIvx

Apple’s Macintosh IIvx was a personal computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by the tech giant from 1992 to 1993 as part of the Macintosh II series of computers. The Macintosh IIvx was first introduced on October 19, 1992, with a starting price of $2,950.

Despite its short lifespan, the Macintosh IIvx was a powerful machine for its time. It featured a 32 MHz Motorola 68030 processor, a Motorola 68882 FPU coprocessor, 4 MB of RAM, and a hard drive with options for 40 MB, 80 MB, 160 MB, 230 MB, or 400 MB. Additionally, it came with a CD-ROM drive and a 1.44 MB Floppy drive.

However, the Macintosh IIvx was discontinued on October 21, 1993, making it 30 years old today. Despite its discontinuation, the Macintosh IIvx remains a significant piece of Apple’s history and a reminder of the company’s early efforts in the personal computer market.
