History of Macintosh II

The Macintosh II computer series was the first Mac line without a built-in display and the first Macintosh computer family that is supporting color graphics. Mac II computers were designed for business and professional users.

The Macintosh II series is a family of personal computers designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 1987 to 1993. A Macintosh II was the first computer line that wasn’t all-in-one. Apple has offered users a range of external displays such as; Two-Page Monochrome display, Portrait display, 12-inch RGB or Monochrome displays, or Color 16-inch or 21-inch displays.

What happened with Macintosh II Series?

The Macintosh II series was on the market for 6 years. In February 1993, Apple has announced the Macintosh Centris series which immediately replaced some of the Macintosh II models. On October 21, 1993, has entirely discontinued the Macintosh II family.
