The LaserWriter 8500 is a printer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 1997 to 1999 as part of the Apple Printer series. The new LaserWriter has been introduced on August 5, 1997, and its price started at $3099.
The new printer features a 60 MHz AMD 29040 processor, 8 MB of ROM, one printing color, a printing resolution of up to 600 dpi, a printing speed of up to 20-pages per minute, a LocalTalk connection, a Bi-Directional Parallel port, and an Ethernet connection.
This printer has been discontinued on January 5, 1999.
