The Apple iPod touch 4th Generation is a widescreen iPod with a touch screen that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2010 to 2013 as part of the iPod series. The iPod has been introduced on September 1, 2010, and its price started at $229.
The fourth generation of the iPod touch features an 800 MHz Apple A4 processor, 256 MB of RAM, 3.5″ Retina multi-touch LCD Display, 8 GB / 16 GB / 32 GB or 64 GB of flash memory, 0.7 Mpix Rear camera, and VGA front camera for FaceTime video calls, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, Dock connector, 3.5-mm headphone jack, and 40 hours of battery life.
On September 1, 2010, Apple introduced the basic configuration of the all-new iPod touch with 8 GB for $229, 32 GB for $299, and 64 GB for $399.
On October 4, 2011, has been dropped the price 8 GB model to $199.
On September 12, 2012, Apple discontinued 8 GB and 64 GB versions, in the same time model with 16 GB was available just for $199, and 32 GB for $249.
This iPod has been discontinued on May 30, 2013, and has been replaced by the iPod touch 5th Generation.
Today iPod touch 4th Generation is 13 years old!
