The Apple iPod shuffle 2nd Generation is a portable MP3 player that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2006 to 2007 as part of the iPod series. The iPod has been introduced on September 12, 2006, and its price started at $79.
iPod shuffle has been designed to use in “shuffle songs” mode and “AutoFill” mode within iTunes which selects the correct number of songs to include on the iPod either as directed by the user or at random. For the navigation, the MP3 player uses a simple control pad on the front and a “slider” on the back.
The new iPod shuffle features a 12 hours of battery life, 1 GB flash memory, a standard 3.5-mm headphone jack, and great audio quality.
This iPod has been discontinued on January 30, 2007.
