The Apple iMac Early 2001 is a personal computer that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple in 2001 as part of the iMac G3 series of iMac computers. The computer has been introduced on February 22, 2001, and its price started at $899.
The new iMac features a 400 MHz PowerPC 750 G3 or 500 MHz PowerPC 750cx processor, 64 MB of RAM, 10 GB or 20 GB hard drive, 24x CD-ROM, or 8x CD-RW drive, and 8 MB ATI Rage 128 Pro graphics in the base model.
iMac Early 2001 with 400 MHz processor was available in one color – Indigo, while iMac with 500 MHz processor was available in two additional colors – Blue Dalmatian and Flower Power.
This iMac has been discontinued on July 18, 2001, and has been replaced in the same year by iMac Mid 2001.
