The Apple Remote is a remote control device that was designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple from 2005 to 2009 as part of the Apple Remote series. The device has been introduced on October 12, 2005, and its price started at $29.

The Remote’s original function was to enable navigation in Front Row, which allows users to browse and play music, view videos (DVDs and downloaded files), and browse photos.

This Remote has been discontinued on October 20, 2009.
